About Project Children
Project Children is an American-Northern Ireland partnership dedicated to showing Protestant and Catholic kids that they have nothing to fear from each other and much to gain. The program started in 1975 with six children from Belfast, three from one community and three from the other. The kids spent that summer in America, getting to know each other in a small New York town. Now Project Children places more than 100 children from Northern Ireland with host families across America each summer for a four-week period. In 2011, Central New York families hosted more than 40 children, more than anywhere else in the Country!

New Update - November, 2011

Sorry it’s been a while since we updated our web site. We had another great year in 2011, and the visiting children from Northern Ireland had a good visit. Thanks to all the families who participated, our volunteers and all our supporters and community partners! We’re in the planning stages for 2012. Check back in 2012 for more information!
